Pedestrians make up 64% of all people using Canal Street, yet we give cars and trucks the majority of the street space.

School Streets are safe, car-free places to learn, play, and grow. Yet, fewer than 50 of NYC's 1,800 schools have a School Street. We're calling on the Mayor and City Council to commit $10 million to equitably fund School Streets across the city.

By repurposing just 8,000 parking spots, we can grow small business, give New Yorkers more options, and put our streets to higher use.
