Wearable speaker maker MobileMan joins weekly ride from Williamsburg to Manhattan

NEW YORK -- Biking to work just started sounding a whole lot better. 

In order to prepare for the impending L Train shutdown, Transportation Alternatives hosted a music-filled Bike Train with wearable speaker maker MobileMan on Wednesday, September 19. 

The Bike Train is a weekly group commute, initiated by Transportation Alternatives, in response to massive numbers of New Yorkers expected to begin cycling during the L Train shutdown. This week’s Bike Train featured special guest MobileMan, whose wearable mobile speaker system eliminates the need for earbuds (and the awkwardness of only wearing one at a time). MobileMan gives users the freedom to bike or run while listening to high quality music -- without losing awareness of their surroundings.

Participants gathered at Myrtle-Wyckoff Plaza in Brooklyn and rode to Sun and Air bike shop, where a MobileMan speaker was raffled off to lucky winner Todd Medeiros.
